Flue Gas Desulphurization Process

The FGD process involves the absorption and reaction of SO2 with an alkaline reagent, resulting in the formation of a solid emulsion. This chemical treatment converts SO2 into by-products such as Gypsum or Calcium Sulphate.

Types of FGD Systems

We offer both semi-dry and wet FGD technologies to meet stringent emission standards mandated by regulatory bodies. Our wet FGD systems are designed to achieve high SO2 removal efficiency, exceeding 98%.

Dry Flue Gas Desulphurization (Dry FGD)

Dry FGD utilizes lime as a reagent to react and remove gaseous contaminants. It includes methods such as dry injection systems and spot drying systems, which inject lime directly into the chimney gas. The resulting dry product is collected for further treatment.

Wet Flue Gas Desulphurization (Wet FGD)

Wet FGD involves the use of an alkaline-based slurry, typically lime, to scrub gases. Lime slurry is sprayed into a chimney gas scrubber, where SO2 is absorbed, forming wet calcium sulfite.
